CAMRA - Great British Beer Experience

The Great British Beer Experience is a great opportunity to find out more about beer through tutored tastings with beer experts and Head Brewers.
Whether you are new to beer, or just want to find out more about your favourite tipple, the tastings are a fun way to develop your beer knowledge and your palate.

The tastings will provide you with an insight into the quality and diversity of Great British Beer and will give you the chance to speak to head brewers and beer experts and ask those beer questions that have always intrigued you.

Roger Protz, Jeff Evans and the Head Brewers from Banks’s, Jennings, Marstons, Ringwood and Wychwood, will educate you in the art of beer tasting and will help you to discover the complexities of beer brewing and drinking, whilst giving you some interesting facts to impress your friends!

You will learn about the processes of beer brewing, the different varieties of beer that are on the market and the importance of supporting Great British Beer.
  

Overview of CAMRA sessions

The Great British Beer Experience will be a series of tutored tasting's run by Jeff Evans, Roger Protz and some of the Head Brewers from Banks's, Jennings, Marstons, Ringwood and Wychwood.

Beers with the Head Brewers
During this tasting, the Head Brewer from Banks's, Jennings, Marstons, Ringwood and Wychwood will take you through one of their signature beers. You will try Banks's Original, Jennings Cumberland Ale, Marstons Pedigree, Wychwood Hobgoblin and Ringwood Fortyniner.

5 Beers to Try Before You Die
Award winning beer writer and author Roger Protz will take a selection of 5 beers from his book ‘300 Beers To Try Before You Die' for you to taste. With years of experience in the industry, Roger will talk you through the beers and will be available to sign copies of his book after the tasting.

A Beer A Day
Jeff Evans will be selecting 5 beers from his new book ‘A Beer A Day' for you to taste and comment on. Jeff, who has been named by his colleagues as ‘Beer Writer of the Year' will not only speak to you about the beers themselves, but the reasons why they feature in his new book. Jeff will also be available to sign copies of his book after the tasting.
