Sushi Academy Masterclasses

 

The Sushi Skills Workshops offer a great introduction to the world of sushi making. Classes start with a brief introduction to the history of sushi from its beginnings to the 21st century. It's then a hands workshop that will show you how to make your own sushi: "Maki Roll", with traditional "Regular Roll(Hosomaki)" and the popular "Inside-out(Uramaki)California roll".

At the end of the session you will get to take away your own creation in a bento box with wasabi, gari (pickled ginger) and soy sause packs to enjoy at your leisure.

The classes are run by experts from The Sushi Academy London, giving you the opportunity to surprise your family and friends with your new found sushi skills

Friday 13th November – Morning session
In this session you will create
Regular Roll(Hosomaki) : "Kappa Maki"="Cucumber roll" (cucumber and rice rolled in Nori Seaweed)

Inside-out Roll(Uramaki): "California Roll" = (crab stick, avocado and cucumber rolled inside seaweed with the rice on the outside and covered in sesami seeds with a mayonaise dressing.)

Friday 13th November – Afternoon session
In this session you will create
Regular Roll (Hosomaki): "Oshinko Maki"="Pickled Radish roll" (Pickled Radish and rice rolled in Nori Seaweed)

Inside-out Roll (Uramaki): "California Roll" = (crab stick, avocado, seasoned boiled prawn, mayonnaise and rice rolled inside-out Nori Seaweed around with sesame seeds)

Saturday 14th November – Morning session
In this session you will create:

Regular Roll(Hosomaki) : "Oshinko Maki"="Pickled Radish roll" (Pickled Radish and rice rolled in Nori Seaweed) Inside-out Roll(Uramaki):

Saturday 14th November – Afternoon session
In this session you will create:

Regular Roll(Hosomaki) : "Kanpyo Maki"="Marinated Gourds roll"(Marinated Gourds and rice rolled in Nori Seaweed)

Inside-out Roll (Uramaki): "California Roll" =  (crab stick, avocado, seasoned boiled prawn, mayonnaise and rice rolled inside-out Nori Seaweed around with sesame seeds)

  Sunday 15th November – Morning session
  In this session you will create

Regular Roll(Hosomaki) : "Yama Gobou Maki"="Pickled Wild Burdock roll" (Wild Burdock and rice rolled in Nori Seaweed)


Inside-out Roll (Uramaki): "California Roll" = (crab stick, avocado, seasoned boiled prawn, mayonnaise and rice with Nori Seaweed rolled inside-out around with sesame seeds)
