The winners of the coveted BBC Good Food Shows Producers’ Bursary Awards Scheme have been announced! The BBC Good Food Show team have been searching the UK and Ireland to find the most outstanding artisan food and drink producers they can. The campaign calls for applications from small artisan producers with companies carefully shortlisted and all entries tasted at the BBC Good Food Test Kitchens by a team of experts. The deserving winners win the opportunity to exhibit free of charge at the prestigious BBC Good Food Show in Harrogate or Birmingham.
The bursary scheme has had a significant impact on many small companies over the past few years including The Northern Dough Company who are now available nationally. Mo's Cookie Dough is now sold through Whole Foods, and Kate Jenkins, the owner of Gower Cottage Brownies, who claims that entering the awards was the best thing she ever did for her business.
The BBC Good Food Show Producers’ Bursary Award scheme, managed by Katy Truss of Fabulous Food Finds is now in its eighth successful year and rewards the most deserving, small, independent artisan producers. To be eligible they must be less than three years old with a low annual turnover and most importantly must be able to impress the judges.
Visitors to the BBC Good Food Shows will be able to meet, taste and buy from this year’s impressive winners shown below.
