Rob Palmer - Head Chef at Peel'saccordian title

Rob Palmer

Joining the Peel’s Restaurant team in the early days, Rob rose through the ranks, taking charge of the team of young, local chefs at the age of 27. Rob went on to win his first Michelin star and fourth AA rosette within 18 months. He works quietly and understatedly but with a steely determination. His rigorous approach to flavour and commitment to the main ingredient on the plate results in fresh, seasonal dishes cooked using modern techniques. He’s typically seen with a pencil tucked behind his ear, ready for his moments of inspiration.

With thanks to The Balvenie...accordian title

The spirit of craft lives on at The Balvenie, the only distillery in the world that maintains the Five Rare Crafts of whisky making. In a world of automation, The Balvenie maintains its distinctive character and heart through intimate understanding of materials and a desire to make the best whisky possible.

The Balvenie Caribbean Cask is an exceptional single malt whisky with the traditional smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie married with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit, with a warm, lingering finish. Aged in oak barrels for 14 years, the whisky is then transferred to casks which previously contained a special blend of West Indian rum for finishing.
