john clapperJohn Clapper - Thursday 30 November

Gigging with bands in Manchester and the North West since the age of 16, John Clapper developed a reputation for his varied, imaginative and entertaining sets. Now he's gone solo, living, gigging and busking in London. Influences from The Beatles & Eric Clapton to Ed Sheeran & Bruno Mars inform his fresh use of the loop pedal, which has to be seen and heard to be believed!

John's gigging isn't just limited to the the UK. His experience working abroad includes having headlined Agiotfest in Corfu, the worlds first live streaming restaurant in Brooklyn USA and a number of regular shows across Europe most notably, Belgium, Austria and Denmark. In 2016 he supported Earl Slick (David Bowie guitarist) & Bernard Fowler (Rolling Stones) performing at O2 academy venues in Glasgow, Liverpool and London.

Jersey Budd - Thursday 30 Novemberjersey budd

Jersey Budd mashed onto the British music scene with his first album, Wonderlands. Acclaimed by Q Magazine as "rollicking bar room rock in thrall to Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen". Leicester born Jersey is a friend and contemporary of many acclaimed British artists such as Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Miles Kane and The Rifles, Jersey has toured extensively across the UK and Europe with his band. He has headlined his own shows and supported artists including Kasabian, The Enemy, James Morrison, John Martyn, Amy MacDonald, The Bluetones and Turin Brakes. Jersey has been writing and releasing his new material, which includes co-writing with James Walsh from Starsailor, Rob Harvey from The Music and The Kooks, plus working with producers including Stan Klybert, Brendan Lynch and Jamie Ellis. With a growing fan base his incredible voice and song writing abilities are often compared to legends such as Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen but with a modern twist which is setting the music scene alight making Jersey the new young promise of British songwriters. Jersey plays with a full band. Jersey has just released his new album “The Gathering Dust” accompanying this with a 5 date UK tour.   He released 2 singles from the album, “Justified” and “A different kind of love”. London based singer songwriter Callum Gardner has very unique stamp in his style - jazz, blues, urban, and a great deal of soul comes together in his many and varied songs. A multi instrumentalist of considerable talent, His catchy, cool songs, gritty vocals, balanced with thoughtful and perceptive lyrics have won many fans.
22 year old singer songwriter, poet and multi-instrumentalist Callum Gardner has been gigging and recording around the capital for the last three years solo and with his band. After performing sell-out shows at Kensington Roof Gardens, Century Club and The Troubadour he has now released his eagerly anticipated debut single 'Commit to the List' with new music on it's way at the beginning of 2018. Taking influence from Soul, Jazz, Folk, Pop and Blues, Callum has his own sound - either stripped back to his growling vocals and grooving guitar lines or supported by a fabulous rhythm section and intricate arrangements. He continues to wow audiences with passionate performances and a book of songs crafted with heart and intent. Having played over 100 shows in London, Callum has set his sights on a tour of the south coast starting in May 2018 with performance dates to be announced later this year. He and his band have been cooking up a whole heap of new material ready to throw onto every streaming platform you can think of, and having gained great exposure with the debut single, 'Commit to the List' it's easy to see why people are excited. He's currently hosting, performing cover shows, gigging solo and with full band at the very best venues on our city's doorstep...

Hattie Briggs - Sunday 3 Decemberhattie

Hattie Briggs is a 24 year-old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.  Recently named Fender Undiscovered Artist of the Year 2017, she won the prize of supporting Lucy Rose at the prestigious O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. Since making the decision to drop out of a Russian degree in her second year at Oxford University, she has released six EPs, two critically acclaimed albums, had airplay on BBC Radios 1, 2, and 6 Music, and embarked on tours around the UK, the Netherlands and the U.S. During her travels she has supported some well known bands and artists, including chart topping duo, Ward Thomas, at the O2 London’s Brooklyn Bowl, Lauren Aquilina, Stornoway, Jamie N Commons, Seth Lakeman and Grant Nicholas (Feeder). Influenced by Foy Vance and Jeff Buckley, Hattie writes and sings straight from the heart. Her crystalline vocals, and insightful lyrics resonate across all ages, rekindling old memories and capturing imaginations. Combined with catchy melody lines and a cheeky, charismatic stage presence, it's unsurprising the youngster is seriously impressing industry figures and fans alike.
