She came, she saw, she baked and she conquered! 

Nadiya’s captivating smile and sparkling personality, wit and warmth as well as her delicious bakes and desserts made her the hugely popular winner of Great British Bake Off 2015.

Since winning, Nadiya has presented her own cookery show, Nadiya’s British Food Adventure which aired in the summer of 2017 on BBC 2 as well as co-presenting The Big Family Cooking Showdown. Summer 2018 sees a brand new 8 part cookery series – Nadiya’s Family Favourites along with an accompanying cookbook of the same name. 

She has also presented The Chronicles of Nadiya for which she was nominated for an RTS award as Breakthrough Presenter and is a regular reporter for The One Show. And there’s lots more TV to come!Not only is Nadiya now a seasoned presenter but also a brilliant writer  with columns in The Times as well as BBC Good Food Magazine.

Nadiya’s first children’s book, Nadiya’s Bake Me a Story hit the bestseller charts in 2016, as did her cookbook for adults, Nadiya’s Kitchen. In addition to her cookbooks, Nadiya has written a novel, The Secret Lives of the Amir Sisters, published in Jan 2017. A tie-in to Nadiya’s British Food Adventure was published in July 2017 as well as Nadiya’s Bake Me A Festive Story in October 2017. Nadiya’s Bake Me A Celebration Story was published in September 2018. The Fall & Rise of the Amir Sisters was out in January 2019 and her first picture book, My Monster & Me which focuses on anxiety in children in Autumn 2019.

Nadiya makes regular appearances at cookery events throughout the UK and abroad including BBC Good Food Show and many more and has featured in the BBC’s 100 Most Influential Women list in 2016.  She also features regularly in the media with previous columns including Essentials Magazine.

Having been baking for 10 years, Nadiya’s family is originally from Bangladesh, where desserts aren’t a feature of mealtimes at all, but encouraged by a school home economics teacher, Nadiya honed her skills as a baker and produces fabulous bakes and desserts every day. However, it’s not just bakes that make her everyone’s mouths water, it’s her amazing cooking in general!

Born in Luton, she lives with her husband, Abdal and is mum to three children.
