BBC Good Food Shows FAQs

Here are some of our most frequently asked questions. For questions relating to a specific Show, please refer to the FAQ page for that Show.

What is the Big Kitchen? accordian title

The Big Kitchen is the main stage where our top chefs and experts cook seasonal dishes in live demonstrations. Tickets for The Big Kitchen Theatre must be purchased in addition to general admission. Find more information and book your Big Kitchen tickets here.

If I am a disabled visitor or need special assistance seating in the Big Kitchen where do I do this? accordian title

Please contact the Box Office and explain you require disabled or special assistance seating and they will be able to ensure this is arranged. SeeTickets can be contacted here. For any other queries please contact bbcgoodfoodshow@riverstreetevents.co.uk.

I am registered disabled do I get a concessionary ticket?accordian title

If you need to bring a companion, assistant or guider with you to the Show to maximise your enjoyment, then that carer will be admitted free of charge. Please make this clear to the Box Office when you book your tickets - they will be happy to help! Are dogs permitted to any of your Shows? accordian title

Unfortunately dogs are not permitted to any of our Shows, with the exception of Guide or Assistance Dogs.

What is the transaction fee and when does it apply?accordian title

The transaction fee covers the costs of processing your order, producing your tickets, and in the case of postal delivery, the packing and delivery of the tickets to you. The fee applies to postal, print at home and e-tickets to cover the costs of: credit card fees; ticketing technology; onsite scanning staff; customer services and administration, all of which are involved in the processing, production and issuing of your tickets. The transaction fee applies per order not per ticket. For example, if you purchase six tickets, you only pay one transaction fee.

Can I bring my own book to get it signed by the chefs?accordian title

Whilst we endeavour to allow everybody to have their book signed, we cannot guarantee you will have your copy signed if not purchased from the Show. Check each Show website for timetables and more information. 

Can I bring my own food and drink to a BBC Good Food Show?accordian title

Yes you can bring your own food and drink to the Show, however there are many restaurant and vendors we would love you to try instead! Check each Show website for full exhibitor lists. 

Is there anywhere to store my shopping bags? accordian title

We have an NEC Cloakroom (charged) and a Shop & Drop area (suggested charity donation) at the Shows. Process from the Shop & Drop will be donated to our chosen charity. Please check specific Show pages for more details.

I have lost my tickets, what do I do?accordian title

Can I bring a school group to a BBC Good Food Show?accordian title

We have a dedicated schools day at our BBC Good Food Show Birmingham (Winter). Schools can also visit the BBC Good Food Show Birmingham (Summer) via dedicated Schools tickets to BBC Gardeners’ World Live. For more information and to book schools tickets please head to our group bookings page.

I would like to bring a party of 8 or more people to a BBC Good Food Show how do I book my tickets?accordian title

Please head to our group bookings page for more information and to book your group tickets. One free organiser ticket per group. Group visitors benefit from: great savings on tickets, 1 free organiser ticket per group and no obligation reservation period until 30 September 2021.

How do I get a Showguide?accordian title

Showguides are available at all Shows free of charge.

What features and stages will I find at the Shows?accordian title

Every Show has a different flavour, and a selection of features. Check out each individual Show’s pages to find out which Show is best for you.
