Getting to the Festival

Plan your journey in advance to make the most of your day out.

The Festival takes place in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace on Saturday 26 to Monday 28 August 2017

Opening times: 10am - 6pm daily

Travelling to the Festival is an important part of your day out, so plan in advance to make sure it’s hassle free.

By Car

The palace postcode is KT8 9AU

The palace is located on the A308 and is well signposted from all the major local roads; drivers should follow the brown tourist attraction road signs.

From the M25 take either exit 10 on to the A307 or exit 12 on to the A308.

The palace is also accessible via the A3 and then the A309. 

Parking

Advance parking:

Guarantee a parking space on Hampton Court Green by booking in advance for just £5, subject to availability (500 metres from the palace entrance) – click here to book. The car park will be open from 9am – 7pm. Advance parking is not available on any-day tickets, must be day specific.  Parking will be on grass so visitors will need appropriate footwear.

On the day parking:

Limited parking is available on the day at the palace at a current cost of £1.60 per hour (pay on exit) and at £1.50 per hour on Hampton Court Green. Parking is also available at Hampton Court train station, 200 metres from the palace (please check at the station for prices).

The palace car park has nine disabled parking spaces for blue badge holders. They are available on a first come first served basis and are in the lower car park, near the entrance to the Welcome Centre. Parking is currently free for blue badge holders parked in the disabled bays.

By Rail

35 minutes from London Waterloo - calling at Vauxhall, Clapham Junction, Earlsfield, Wimbledon, Raynes Park, New Malden, Berrylands, Surbiton and Thames Ditton before arriving at Hampton Court.

Trains run every half an hour.

You could also get a train to Kingston and then a bus (111, 216 or 411) from there to Hampton Court Gardens. Or a train to Richmond and the R68 bus to Hampton Court.

The service is run by South West Trains. Information on planned engineering works is on their website Southwest Trains.

Hampton Court is in Zone 6 and you can use Oyster Pay as You Go on trains to Hampton Court.

By Coach

The nearest coach drop off or collection points are Hampton Court railway station (200 metres from the palace entrance) or Hampton Court Green (500 metres from the palace entrance). Coaches may also park here; coach parking is available free of charge on Hampton Court Green or at a cost of £15 per day at the coach park next to the station.

By Air

From London airports

From Heathrow Airport - take the 111 bus. 

From Gatwick Airport - take a train from the airport station to Clapham Junction and change to the Hampton Court train.

From City Airport - take the Docklands Light Railway to Canning Town and then the Jubilee Line to Waterloo.  Catch the Hampton Court train from there.
