Tom will be at the Show on Saturday 21 October. See him around the Show in live interviews and in the Big Kitchen.

Tom Kitchin is the youngest ever proprietor-chef in Scotland to have been awarded a Michelin star. The star was awarded at his Leith restaurant, The Kitchin, only seven months after he opened it with his wife Michaela. He is also the proprietor-chef of The Scran and Scallie in Edinburgh.

Tom was born in Edinburgh and trained locally, after which he spent nearly a decade working with the legendary Pierre Koffmann in the 3 Michelin-starred La Tante Claire in London, and Koffmann remains his mentor to-date. Tom spent a further two years at Alan Ducasse’s three-star Louis XV restaurant in Monte Carlo. In 2008 Tom cooked his way to the finals of BBC 2’s Great British Menu, and represented Scotland again the following year. He appeared on our screens again in the BBC2 series The Protégé in 2013, and regularly appears as a guest on Saturday Kitchen.

From Nature to Plate was published by Orion in 2009 and his second book Kitchin Suppers came out in September 2012, published by Quadrille.
