Producers Bursary Awards

logoEvery year, we award the most outstanding British producers we can find with a bursary to attend one of the BBC Good Food Shows. The Producers Bursary Awards, now in its 10th year, enables us to support start-ups and promote exceptional food and drinkproducers in the artisan and speciality food industry.

The campaign calls for applications from small, independent producers with companies carefully shortlisted and all entries tasted and scrutinised at the BBC Good Food Test Kitchens by a team of experts. The deserving winners win the opportunity to exhibit free of charge at one of the prestigious BBC Good Food Shows in Glasgow or Birmingham (Winter 2018 and Summer 2019).

Past winners that you may have seen at the shows include Aye Love Real Food, Scotia Spice, Plant N Grow, Smoky Brae and The Ochil Fudge Pantry.

Entries for the Producers Bursary Awards are now open and the winners will be announced after the tasting day in September.

The winners of the Producers Bursary Awards for the BBC Good Food Show Scotland 2018 are:

  • Buddabings - Giant cookie sandwiches filled with an irresistible gooey centre.

  • Tom's Curious Sauces – Chilli sauces and snacks.

After 10 years of making delicious chilli sauces for his family and friends, Tom’s Curious Sauces burst into the sauce market with their tasty chilli sauces and snacks. With no secret ingredients or long family recipe, Tom’s Curious Sauces are simple, homemade sauces winning the taste buds of Glasgow. We fell in love with the gripping spice and flavour of their sauce range, definitely making them memorable. We can’t wait to drizzle this all over, well… everything!

  • Aye Pickled – Gourmet pickles, slaw and live cultured ferments.

Hand made in Edinburgh, Aye Pickled do things the old-fashioned way, but are certainly innovative with a modern touch. From Pink Pickled Onions to Spicy Beets, Kimchi Hot Sauce and Probiotic Ketchup

  • Braw Biltong – 100% Beef Biltong.

Born from a passion of quality meat products, founders Chris and Lloyd wanted to showcase the taste and health benefits of quality meat snacks and in particular – Biltong. Produced from the highest quality cuts of beef, Braw Biltong is then marinated in fresh spices and vinegar, achieving a well-rounded, flavourful product which we adored. We can’t wait to see Braw Biltong and their tasty range of Biltong at the Show.
