Duane has been a dietitian for over 20 years, and has worked in the NHS and in universities. He has worked in universities in the UK and Australia. His research areas are linked to diabetes and evidence linking food and nutrition to health claims including debunking claims relating to superfoods. He enjoys writing both research and media articles, having over 40 research papers in various academic journals and over 20 articles published through The Conversation and Spectator Online. He is also a media spokesperson and is a board member for the British Dietetic Association. He enjoys a range of cooking, believing a key way of improving health through diet involves cooking fresh food which takes great and is fun to make and eat.
