Information for disabled visitors
All disabled visitors attending the BBC Good Food Show are advised to inform the Box Office operators at the time of booking tickets if they require a wheelchair space, or have any special requirements. They will also help you find the most convenient seating for visually impaired visitors and will have details of the days and times of demonstrations with sign language interpreters. Please note that all ticket sales are allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Any visitor who is registered disabled is able to claim a free ticket for a carer to accompany them to the Show. Carer tickets can be added at the time of your booking. When making your booking simply add an essential carer ticket on for each of the visitors with registered accesibility requirements. Please bring proof of eligibility with you to show on arrival such as a Blue Badge, Freedom Pass, DLA letter or PIP letter.
A carer ticket accompanying a VIP ticket holder will not receive all of the extra benefits in the VIP package. However carers who require the full package will pay a reduced rate.
Guide, assistance and hearing dogs are admitted into the Show.
There will be signed sessions throughout the Show in our main theatres and stages. Please refer to the individual theatre timetables, where they will be clearly marked with ‘S’ for your information once available.
If travelling by train disembark at Birmingham International Station. Access to The NEC is via the skywalk. All levels of The NEC are accessible to wheelchair users, via ramps or lifts. The Atrium & piazza entrances have automatic doors. For anyone visiting by car, for any vehicles displaying blue badges, parking is charged at a rate of £12 per day per car. Additional parking is also available in the main car parks and are serviced by free shuttle buses which are accessible to wheelchairs. Induction loops are fitted to Ticket sales points, Information points, all Show feature demonstration areas, Press Office and the Organisers’ Office. For more information of sign language interpreted sessions in the theatres please see the individual timetables.
The NEC have manual wheelchairs and scooters available for hire which are bookable by phone on 0121 780 4141 (Option 2 and then Option 7) or via email on InfoEmailAccount@necgroup.co.uk
All pre-bookings will be held until 11am on the day booked for, unless otherwise advised.
For any visitors who have not pre-booked equipment and arrive on the day, any remaining stock will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. As collection location varies from Show to Show, please check the collection point when making a booking.
Please note: Mobility equipment hire is only available during Show open times and only accept payment by card for any equipment hired.
The NEC has Male and Female wheelchair accessible toilets.
In the event of a medical emergency please notify a member of security or any member of the BBC Good Food Show team who will be pleased to help you. Alternatively contact the medical centre on 2222 using the internal telephone situated at the entrance to each hall.
